Summer Events
We held our first Open Day in April and it was lovely. We met some great knitters and talked to a few people who were interested in taking it up again after some time.
We ate cake and drank tea and talked about knitting. And we raised some funds for Help for Heroes.
If you missed our April Open Studio, there are still a few opportunities to come and enjoy meeting some knitters this summer. We’ve scheduled two more afternoon sessions:
On Sunday 22nd May, 2011 we’ll hold an Open Studio from 2pm until 6pm. Proceeds from the May event will go to local charity Rosie In Stitches. Ravelry members can get details here
On Sunday 12th June, 2011 our Open Studio will take place from 2pm until 6pm and proceeds from this event will go to to p/hop for Médecins Sans Frontières. Ravelry members can get details here.
10% discount will apply to any purchases made on the day. Cake will be provided for these Crafternoon Teas, but feel free to bring one along to help swell the charity funds.
How else can you help?
- Please pass the word around – the more people who come, the more support for the charities.
- Bring a couple of friends. It’s always more fun to do this sort of thing in a group – and you can car share to save petrol. The events are relaxed and open and everyone is welcome so you won’t feel left out if you come on your own.
- Donate something. If you’d like to support these charities, why not bring something along to sell or raffle. Please let us know if you plan to do that and we can publicise it before the event.
Hope to see you there. Sign up for our newsletter to get news about future events and promotions.
